U.S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland Formally Endorses TEA Party Candidate
David Stover for Georgia State House 71
Jan. 15, 2013 – Georgia House District 71 candidate David Stover has received the endorsement of U.S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA.). This announcement marks another major alliance following the endorsement of David Stover by Georgia Senator Mike Crane last week.
“I have had the opportunity to work with David Stover in his roles as Executive Coordinator of the Coweta Tea Party Patriots and his work on the Fair Tax,” Congressman Westmoreland said in a formal statement. “David is a tireless advocate for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and knows the importance of the free market as a businessman. While David and I have not always agreed on every issue, I have always found him willing to listen. I am confident he will continue to do the same as a state legislator while holding true to his conservative principles.”
David Stover has pledged to protect Georgia citizens’ right to keep and bear arms and to continue his work for lower taxes and fiscal responsibility at the state level with the same conservative principles that he has brought to the last twelve years of his volunteer work within the community. Stover serves on the National Leadership Council for the TEA Party Patriots and as the Executive Coordinator for the local Coweta County TEA Party Patriots group. Stover is also the Republican Precinct Chairman of Precinct 22 and an Executive District Director for Georgia For FairTax.
Stover welcomes Congressman Westmoreland’s support and endorsement. “I know Lynn Westmoreland is a man of strong character who believes in the conservative principles of our founding fathers. I am proud to have his support and look forward to working with him to advance our common vision of freedom and conservatism for the citizens of our district.”
In his bid to be District 71’s State Legislator, David Stover has also received the endorsement of Education Administrator and Leader Dean Demos, and Georgia Right to Life Political Action Committee (GRTL PAC).
The special election for Georgia State House 71 will be held Tuesday, February 5th.
